Class Offerings
We offer the following classes:
3 Day (2.5 - 3.5 year olds)
4 Day (3.5 - 5 year olds)
5 Day (4.5 - 5 year olds)
There are five preschool classes and a total enrollment capacity of 78 children.
Enrollment Cutoff Dates
For the 2024/2025 School Year:

To enroll in Silo Center Preschool your child must turn 2 by March 31, 2024

To enroll in the 4 day, 3.5 year old class, your child must turn 3 by March 31, 2024

To enroll in the 4 day, 4 year old class, your child must turn 4 by September 30, 2024

To enroll in the 5 day, 4.5 year old class, your child must turn 4 by March 31, 2024
Tuition & Fees
Tuition is based on a yearly amount that is divided into ten equal monthly payments, regardless of how many school days there are in a month. Tuition is as follows:
Class Tuition
3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, $365.00
4 days a week: Monday – Thursday, $450.00
5 days a week: Monday – Friday, $533.00
Tuition Schedule
A non-refundable pre-payment is due on or before June 1st, 2024. This will be applied to your account and used as your tenth and final payment of the school year. Your second tuition payment is due September 1st, 2024. Each month's tuition is due by the 1st of the month. A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed for each payment received later than the 5th of the month. Failure to remit tuition payments for two consecutive months is grounds for dismissal from the program. Please Note: While not all months of the school year have the same days in attendance, tuition is prorated according to the total number of school days for the year so that all ten payments are equal.
Multiple Child Discounts
For children of the same household, tuition rates are reduced by 10% for the second child’s tuition and 20% for the third child’s tuition. There are no multiple child discounts for The Barnyard Club.
Registration Fee
A non-refundable fee of $175.00 will be collected for each child at the time of registration. This money covers processing and administration of each student, along with materials for classroom activities, special theme days, snacks, tote bag, and a class group picture at year’s end. There are no other charges throughout the school year. One price; one time!
Barnyard Club
You may register your child with a permanent reservation at a rate of $15.00 a day or a drop-in reservation
at a rate of $17.00 a day. You are billed monthly for any Barnyard Club charges. Permanent reservations are billed prior to each month regardless of usage. Drop-in charges are billed after usage.
A late fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged to families repeatedly picking up later than 3:15 pm dismissal.

FREE and EASIEST way to pay is via https://my.smartcare.com/ or via the Smartcare for Parents app.

ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT) – You must complete and sign the authorization form which will allow for monthly payments to be made from your checking account, savings account, credit card, or debit card.

PERSONAL CHECKS should be made payable to Silo Center Preschool.

CASH should be handed directly to a program employee.
Required Documents
As required by the Commonwealth of Virginia, each preschooler must have on file:

Virginia School Entrance Health Form completed and signed by both the parent and the physician, including immunizations. You may download the Health Form by clicking here.

A copy of your child’s original birth certificate or passport. We will make a copy of the document and return the original immediately. We must verify that the original certificate was presented.
Your child will not be permitted to attend preschool without the above documents on file within the preschool office.
Withdrawal Policy
Once paid, the prepayment for the school year is nonrefundable regardless of what time of year you should need to withdraw your child. However, should you need to withdraw your child from our program prior to March 31st, 2025, please submit written notice at least 30 days prior to your anticipated departure. Once notice is received, your prepayment will be applied and used as your final payment. Tuition rates will not be prorated. Families withdrawing from our program after March 31st, 2025 are still responsible for ten, equal tuition payments.
