Missy Pratt has spent the last 15 years of her professional life in retail business management, church administration and presently as the assistant director of Silo Center Preschool. In addition to her business background, Missy brings the experience of being a mother of 4 young children ages, 11, 8, 6 and 4.

Over the years, as her family’s needs changed, she also found opportunity to change career paths. Following graduation with a B.S. in Public Relations from Bryan College, Missy and her husband lived in Jacksonville, FL. Her first introduction to the business world was in 1994 in retail management with Casual Corner. She took a brief break from employment in 1996 with the birth of her first child and her family’s move to Baltimore, MD. The following year, Missy “stepped” into the gym as fitness instructor for a small chain of women’s gyms in the surrounding Baltimore area. In 2000, she and her husband and their two daughters moved to their current residence in Springfield, VA. She worked as assistant manager and lead designer for Everlasting Florals & Images. Three years later, she took a position as church administrator in Alexandria, VA. Her two boys were born in 2002 and 2003.

As a mother of a preschooler, Missy says, “The desires for a quality education and a loving environment for my, now four year old son, have inspired my research in the field of early childhood education. It is a great privilege to serve the needs of parents and children in this great community.”
